Whether you’re looking
for a primary care physician, a specialist or another
healthcare provider, we can help. As the region’s
largest healthcare provider, we employ more than 400 doctors
who have training in 55 different specialties and subspecialties.
We also employ more than 450 credentialed providers such
as physician assistants, nurse practitioners and therapists.
Primary Care Physician
A primary care physician (PCP), sometimes called
a family doctor or general practitioner (GP), cares for
your overall health. They are trained in several fields
such as internal medicine, pediatrics, general surgery,
obstetrics, gynecology and psychiatry. Your primary care
physician can handle the routine medical needs that you
and your family have, including annual physicals, acute
illnesses, and preventative care.
Physician Specialist
A physician
specialist has advanced training. For example, a gastroenterologist
focuses on the gastrointestinal tract, stomach and intestines.
Other providers
Credentialed healthcare practitioners include a variety
of disciplines. Among them are nurse practitioners, physician
assistants, clinical nurse specialists, psychologists,
occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech and
language pathologists and optometrists.
