We understand that when you can’t breathe, nothing else matters
The experienced and caring team of physicians, nurses and respiratory care providers in the Pulmonary, Sleep and Critical Care Department treats a wide range of lung-related illnesses. Patients range from acutely and critically ill people requiring intensive critical care at St. Mary's Medical Center to individuals with chronic lung diseases that require long-term follow-up.
We have board-cerified Pulmonologists who are specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of people with lung disease. In addition to treating diseases like pneumonia, interstitial lung disease and lung cancer, they also provide care for patients experiencing chronic cough, abnormal chest X-ray findings, and airway diseases such as asthma and emphysema.
Expert care at the Northland's only certified Sleep Center
Many sleep disorders involve breathing issues. We have two Duluth Clinic Pulmonologists who are board-certified in Sleep Medicine. They specialize in sleep-disordered breathing, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia and restless leg syndrome. Our Sleep Center is certified by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
