Breastfed
Newborn Check-Ups
Those first few days home from the hospital with your newborn are often a blur of sleepless nights, feedings and changing diapers. In addition, baby and mom are still working on mastering breastfeeding, which can be a frustrating and painful learning process.
We're here to help you get through it. Our nurse clinicians offer a newborn check-up at 4 or 5 days, including a weight check to make sure your baby is getting enough milk and is on the right track. They'll also measure your baby's hydration status, look for jaundice, and check the cord.
Our lactation consultants and nurses are also here to help with lactation issues so you and baby can have a positive breastfeeding experience.
