Your Child's Appointment

We want your child's appointment with us to be as comfortable and convenient as possible, for both you and your child. Our Pediatrics Dpeartment in SMDC Medical Center's Duluth Clinic First Street Building has been designed with patients and families in mind:

Family-friendly touches

We've designed exam rooms to be family-friendly and waiting areas to be appropriate for children of all ages. While we have made every effort to anticipate your needs, please let us know if there are any other ways we can accommodate you.

Separate play areas

To help reduce the spread of viruses, we have separate child play areas for children who are ill and those who are well. Please feel free to make liberal use of our alcohol hand sanitizers located throughout the department. We do — and we always wash our hands before an examination.

After-visit summaries

An integral part of what we do is education, so you will receive an after-visit summary detailing the results of the examination, instructions for treatment, and any additional informational handouts related to your child's health. Feel free to ask any questions you may have during the appointment as well.

Note to parents: Remember to bring in any sports or school forms you need the doctor to fill out. If your child is a new patient, please have their medical records sent to us and bring up-to-date immunization records.
