Pediatric
Weight Management
Our Pediatric Weight Management Program is designed for children and young adults, ages 6-18, who are in the 95th percentile for body mass index (BMI), as determined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
Your Pediatrician can determine your child’s BMI, which is a calculation of weight divided by height that is plotted on a gender-appropriate growth chart.
This family-based, year-long program involves assessment from a physician, psychologist, dietitian and exercise physiologist to create lifestyle changes for long-term weight loss and maintenance. Children and parents receive workbooks and attend appointments together. Through the program, children lose weight healthily and under a doctor's care. If indicated, physicians also screen for other conditions.
Consult with your doctor to see if the Pediatric Weight Management Program is right for you.
