Supporting You and Your Family

It is traumatic to have someone you love experience a heart attack or chest pain and be admitted to CICU. You may have many questions, concerns, and needs for support.

Our CICU nursing staff is on the job, providing quality care and connecting you to resources that will help you through this troubled time. If you need the expert advice of a physician, social worker, pharmacist, chaplain, dietitian or other hospital professional, they’ll make sure you get it.

The CICU visitors’ waiting room is furnished with comfortable couches and chairs, plus a television, telephone, computer, magazines, puzzles, information packets, and coffee to help you pass the time. Volunteers often are on hand to assist families, direct visitors, and help you get information about your loved ones.

Keeping you informed and comfortable while easing your mind through this experience is part of our healing environment in the CICU.
